If you’re looking forward to some improvements for your Google Pixel, you’ll be happy to know that the first monthly Android 15 update has just arrived this November.
The first monthly patch ofAndroid 15 is now available for device users Google Pixel. This update November release is gradually being released for compatible devices, and provides various fixes related to Bluetooth connectivity, camera, display, and other essential features.
A first update for Google Pixels running Android 15
Google says the update also includes the November security patch, marking Android 15’s first monthly patch since its launch. This update, although it is being rolled out gradually, is available today on all compatible Pixel devices running Android 15.
Pixel owners will receive a notification once the patch is available for their device, but can also do it manually by going here on their phone: Settings > System > Software Updates. Among the main improvements of this patch, several optimizations target identified issues with Bluetooth connectivity, camera and display:
- Bluetooth : Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL and Pixel 9 Pro Fold benefit from an improvement in Bluetooth range, correcting reported interference in certain conditions.
- Camera : A fix addresses the camera tilt toggle issue when zooming on Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro.
- Display and graphics : The November patch also addresses white dots appearing on some screens and unexpected brightness variations, especially on Pixel 8a.
- Sensors : An occasional issue affecting automatic activation of Adaptive Brightness has been fixed for Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro.
- To touch : Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL and Pixel 9 Pro Fold benefit from a fix for a malfunction of the keyboard close button in certain situations.
- User interface : general performance and stability improvements are also included, notably for interface transitions and animations on the Pixel 6 to Pixel 9 Pro Fold, as well as on the Pixel Tablet.
Other fixes welcome
Beyond specific adjustments for each model, Google is introducing general stability and performance optimizations to strengthen the user experience of Pixel devices, particularly in terms of interface. At the same time, the security of Android devices is strengthened thanks to the integration of the November security patch, the details of which can be consulted in the Android security bulletin.
Note that Pixel users can expect to see software version AP3A.241105.007 for models ranging from Pixel 6 to Pixel 8a, while the Pixel 9 series will use version AP3A.241105.008. On our Pixel 9 Pro, the security update weighs 57.42 MB.
