The texture and taste of Dubai’s famous chocolate is fascinating, according to people who have tried it. Milk-based, filled with a crispy pistachio paste – a texture obtained thanks to kataifi, a dessert made of grilled vermicelli –, it is all the rage on social networks, especially TikTok.

Dubai chocolate arrives in Switzerland
The enthusiasm is so strong that Lindt has decided to develop and sell its own creation. from November 9 in limited quantity (1000 pieces). The problem? The product was initially only available in Germany, recalls in particular 20 Minutes. An exclusivity which angered certain consumers, who did not understand why a Swiss chocolatier did not offer its product in its own country.
But let the dissatisfied rest assured, Lindt has reversed its decision and is going to put it up for sale from mid-November the famous chocolate from Dubai to Switzerland. However, the pieces will only be available in limited quantities and in certain brand stores.
Lovers of sweets and other curious people will have to pay a little less than 15 francs (14.95 to be precise) to taste the precious 150 gram tablet. For comparison, a 100 gram Lindt tablet costs 2.95 francs.
Pregnancy cravings
For the record, Dubai chocolate was invented in 2021 by Sarah Hamouda, 38 years old, founder of the Dubai chocolate factory Fix Dessert Chocolatier. When she was pregnant, she had a strong desire to eat pistachio cream, chocolate and knafeh. A sweet mixture which inspired the idea of a tablet which has become a real success.
One of the first videos posted by an influencer tasting the treat was, for example, viewed more than 50 million times. A guilty pleasure that many other Internet users have since indulged in.
“To be honest, at no point did I think it would go global”declared Sarah Hamouda to CNNadding that its bars are constantly out of stock. Based in Dubai for 9 years, she says she wants to “create an experience with her handmade tablets” and assures that this is only the beginning for her company, which plans to expand internationally .
