This can be relatively annoying when you launch TikTok and the volume is turned up to maximum. Few people know it, but there is a function in the app to avoid such a situation.
We have all experienced this situation before. We are in a public, quiet place. We launch TikTok and suddenly the video starts playing with the volume at maximum. A possibly embarrassing situation, which we would all like to avoid. It is then possible to reduce the sound before launching the app, but fortunately the developers of TikTok have the solution to this problem.
In the settings, there is a hidden option to… open TikTok on mute. To do this, you must go to the app settings, by pressing the icon Profileat the bottom right, then on the three horizontal bars at the top of the screen.
Then press Settings and privacythen go to the menu Lecture. You will find two functions there:
- Open TikTok without the sound : this is the function that interests us here.
- Automatic volume adjustmente: when you open the application, it will automatically adjust the volume of the video that will be launched first so that it is not too loud, in your ears for example.
Enable the first of the two features. So, when you launch the app, it will automatically be muted. To activate the sound, simply tap the screen or use the sound control buttons. And the good news is that the function exists on both iPhone and Android.
