This is Google’s second foray into the field of folding screen smartphones, but the first to be marketed in Belgium. Without having yet really taken off, the market for this type of device is expanding with several players and formats. Without being the thinnest in its category, this Pixel Pro 9 Fold is only 10.5 mm thick when closed for a weight of 257 g. The finish is excellent and the hinge allows 180° opening. Like a book with both covers folded down. The front has a first 6.3-inch OLED screen. The interior one extends over 8 inches. The fold remains visible… if you look for it or touch the screen with your finger. But its presence does not interfere with the use of the device. In reality, we “forget” it very quickly. The real interest of this large central screen still raises questions. Yes, it provides a plus during daily use. But there are few applications that take advantage of it today. Perhaps because of the unusual format.
