The shadow of the colossus
Come on, let’s spill the beans: Shadow of the Colossus, we bet that means something to you! Here, you play Wander, a young man who, to save Mono from the clutches of death, will have to bring down sixteen colossi. Apart from his titanic enemies – which our hero must absolutely climb -, Fumito Ueda’s world here is incredibly calm (which makes it very mysterious). There are no “secondary” opponents to defeat, nor NPCs, just vast expanses and ruins to explore on horseback. Above all, not every victory against the colossi has the flavor of it. Is Wander following a lost quest, defeating the last beings who inhabit these lands?
A cult game more beautiful than ever
In short, a must-play cult game whose remake version is included in the Games Catalog of the PS Plus Extra and Pemium offer! Yes, in 2018, it was the studio Bluepoint Games (Demon Souls Remake) which gave a second lease of life to Ueda’s masterpiece. A brand new version which received a score of 18/20 in our columns. In our opinion, it is a “real visual slap in the face” which offers “breathtaking panoramas with prodigious consistency”.
