Google Photos will soon integrate several filters to help you quickly improve your photos, directly from the sharing menu. Editing images has never been easier!

If you have an Android phone, you probably use the Google Photos app to store all your online photos and videos on the internet giant’s servers. A handy tool that automatically stores captured images in albums, which can then be shared with loved ones.

In order to make photo editing simple and accessible to everyone, without having to go through third-party applications, Google is preparing to introduce an option to allow you to quickly improve your photos before sharing them with your loved ones or on social networks . This function had already been discovered by our colleagues at Android Authority a little earlier in the year, by analyzing the APK of the application, but it was still in development. It then offered a single improvement filter. Things are becoming a little clearer since, this time, they discovered the addition of two additional filters, as well as visual modifications to the menu.

Google Photos: quick editing for everyone at your fingertips

Among the changes, an “Enhance Photo” button appears in the sharing menu, next to the “Create Link”, “Send Photos”, “Add to Album” and “Create Album” options. The option then opens a photo preview window, with a carousel with three filters: Enhance, Warm and Cold. At the bottom of the screen are the “Cancel” and “Share” buttons, which are now shaped like pills. Just long press on the preview to see the original photo, to compare with the enhanced version.

It’s entirely possible that Google plans to add more filters or make other changes to the interface, but otherwise the company should roll out the feature to all users soon. Enough to strengthen the position of Google Photos as an essential tool for storing and managing photos.
