As promised, the highly anticipated Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 took advantage of this day to reveal itself further via a brand new trailer allowing you to learn more about this intriguing universe.

The French Game Pass JRPG Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 specifies its release date

This new video sheds light on the voice cast of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which includes Charlie Cox as Gustave, the Expedition’s chief engineer, determined to save the City of Light before the end of his time. Jennifer English lends her voice to Maelle, a 16-year-old girl, shy and eager to leave Lumière to find her place in the world.

Kirsty Rider plays Moon, the Expedition’s chief researcher, who carries the weight of her parents’ unfinished work, while Shala Nyx plays Sciel, a calm warrior who faces each obstacle with equanimity. Two new characters were introduced in the latest trailer: Ben Starr as Verso, a mysterious stranger tracking down the Expedition, and Andy Serkis as Renoir, a man willing to sacrifice everything to save his family.

The trailer also reveals new gameplay elements. Players will face formidable enemies such as Golgra and The Weaver, who will test their reflexes in a responsive turn-based combat system. In addition, movement mechanics have been highlighted, notably with the grappling hook powered by pictograms, allowing you to explore more quickly by climbing or crossing faults in the environment.

While until now we had to settle for a vague 2025, Sandfall Interactive has this time clarified that its JRPG will be available during the spring! Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC. It will integrate Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass upon launch.
