It’s a very small detail that will count. Circle to Search, in English, or Entourer pour recherche, in French, is coming to Honor smartphones. Until now, this function was specific to Google Pixels as well as Samsung devices. Just Xiaomi recently joined these ranks with its 14T lineup.

By removing this exclusivity, Google’s artificial intelligence doors are being opened to manufacturers of Android smartphones or tablets.

As it had already ported its magic eraser to third-party devices via its Google Photos application, we can hope that other functions will also be shared in the future.

For now, Surround to Search is arriving on two Honor mobiles: the Magic V3, Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro. The first already has it via an update to be carried out. The second will have to wait a little, for a planned deployment “later in the year”indicates the Chinese manufacturer.

Circle to Search was first released on the Galaxy S24 at the start of the year, before being ported to the Pixel 8 and mid-range from Samsung and Google.

A true standard bearer of Google’s AI know-how, this function should arrive on other devices in the coming months. Google indicated last May that by the end of the year, it would be available on more than 200 million devices.
