Moulinex launches a new Cookeo which will overshadow Ninja

It’s been a while since Moulinex launched anything new. And at the beginning of October, the French brand arrived with not one but two Cookeos as beautiful as they are multifunctional. But are these the most advanced devices in the range?

What was our surprise when we saw the design et colors of the new Cookeo Wi-Fi 10-in-1 and 9-in-1. And these pressure cookers don’t just arrive on the market with that! New cooking programs, compatibility with numerous accessories… In short, on paper, we are rather won over. But what is it in reality?

A 10-in-1 multicooker that slaps the competition in the face

The new Cookeo Wi-Fi 10-in-1 from Moulinex promises to be a serious competitor in the race for the best multicookers on the market. Capable of replacing a multitude of appliances in the kitchen, this model promises unrivaled versatility by cooking for you only 15 minutes.

Its 10-in-1 functionality is a novelty at Moulinex. The cooking modes already present on the other models are obviously there to which are added:

  • The slow cooking : for deliciously melt-in-the-mouth dishes.
  • The sous vide cooking : to keep all the good nutrients from your vegetables for example.
  • The yogurt fashion : to say goodbye to Danone and its increasingly excessive prices.
  • The rising of dough : to avoid spending €2 every day at the bakery.

The presence of Wi-Fi allows access to a multitude of recipes via theapplication MyMoulinex (and to make updates), although this Cookeo already offers 150 integrated recipes.

In addition to all these beautiful promises, he offers himself a brand new design which gives a real boost of freshness. A fashionable “Eucalyptus” color and a longer and less round format than his friends. A saving of space therefore for this model which risks being easier to store by its shape. However, don’t expect: longer therefore more volume. Nope. The tank remains the same: 6 litres or around 4 or 5 people.

Speedplethora of features in a single device, designMoulinex seems to be hitting hard.

Accessories to add a touch of magic

In terms of accessories included, nothing really new. If not the stainless steel bracket which allows you to prepare several dishes at the same time. But if you already know a little about the Cookeo range, you will know that they added a lid some time ago: the Extra Crisp. This allows you to cook your food like an Air Fryer. One more string added to his bow.

And if you are a pro at batch cooking, this method which consists of cooking all your dishes for the week in one go, know that in Novemberthe Batchcooker Express will complete the Cookeo. It will allow you to prepare several dishes in one go using glass boxes.

What about the negative points?

Although the Cookeo Wi-Fi 10-in-1 is very attractive, it is not without some shortcomings. For example, it is not as advanced as the Cookeo Touch Pro, which has a integrated scale and a big touch screen allowing for even more intuitive use.

However, this allows this model to be more accessible in terms of price, located below 350€. The Pro costs €499 without having the four new cooking modes.

Indeed, we would perhaps have preferred a touch screen to stay in line with the Pro. Another negative point, the additions of accessories. Although they are really a plus to this Cookeo, if you do not have the Extra Crisp, it is added 99,99€ upon purchase. The same goes for the Batchcooker Express which will be launched at the price of 89,99€.

If you want to have both, your Cookeo will not cost you €329.99 but 519,97€. Ouch. It’s up to you to know if these elements are essential to this already complete device.

Let’s not forget that we are on a French brandwith a 15-year repairability commitment (rare among the competition).

The evolution of the Cookeo range with the 9-in-1 model

We told you above that there were not one but two new products: the Cookeo Wi-Fi 9-in-1, which is positioned as a slightly less advanced alternative than the 10-in-1. This model retains most of the flagship features while being less expensive (279,99€ for this model). What is he missing? THE dough rising function.

The Cookeo Wi-Fi 10-in-1 from Moulinex is undeniably a multicooker that has something to please: modern design, easy connectivity, great cooking versatility, and above all good value for money. If it doesn’t quite reach the equipment level of the Cookeo Touch Pro, it turns out to be a very convincing option. And in the duel with Ninja, Moulinex shows that she remains a essential brand on the multicooker marketwith real added value for French consumers.
