We have already talked about Radxa several times: the company offers various single-board computers. As is typical for these systems, they use computer chips based on ARM architecture. The Radxa Rock 5 ITX is a motherboard with such a chip, which can be used as a normal PC. Thanks to its compatibility with the ITX standard, it can be installed in a conventional case. The power supply is provided by a corresponding ATX connector, PoE or a circular connector.

The computer chip used is the Rockchip RK3588, which has four Cortex A76 cores and four Cortex A55 cores. An ARM Mali-G610 MC4 graphics solution is integrated into the SoC, as well as an NPU with a performance of up to 6 TOPS. Windows cannot be used, but compatibility with Ubuntu and Android is announced, and Radxa OS is also available as a separate operating system. The LPDDR5 RAM is 4, 8, 16 or 32 GB.

There is a microSD card slot and an M.2 SSD can be installed. The M.2 M Key slot is connected by two PCIe 3.0 lanes. Thanks to the four SATA ports, it is also possible to use hard drives. The Radxa Rock 5 ITX is therefore ideally suited for creating a network-attached storage system, for example. Two HDMI, a DisplayPort, MIPI DSI and eDisplayPort are on board. Image signals are transmitted via HDMI and MIPI CSI. Finally, several USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports are available, as well as two Ethernet ports with a maximum data transfer rate of 2.5 GBit/s.

The motherboard is available on the Allnet website for around $120 ( ).
