If you hadn’t followed, Battleste Games, in charge of the development ofEscape From Tarkov, had offered an edition of their game for more than €300. It featured exclusive elements, including the PvE game mode, while they had promised “free access to all subsequent DLC” to owners of a previous edition. Following the enormous shitstorm that followed, Nikita, the head of the studio, reconsidered his decision three times, but without ever apologizing for having taken the players for idiots. It was only after five days that the final change of direction arrived, to finally satisfy everyone (or almost). In the end, this is how the matter ends:
- Owners of the version Edge Of Darkness (EOD) will have access to PvE mode. Access will be released gradually, so as not to burn down the servers.
- They will also have bonuses in terms of skills, hiding places, quests and other shit like that.
- Players who have other versions of poor will be able to purchase access to PvE mode.
- They will also have an addition of two lines in their stash!
- Owners of the cursed version, Unheardwill have temporary bonuses and in-game trinkets, as well as a discount coupon for another version of the game.
- Everyone will be able to unlock items that were exclusive to the edition Unheard (the beacon, the distress signal, the extension of the pocket size).
