This animation as part of #Login 4 was carried out in partnership with Sarthe Lecture. These were games to discover the media and understand how information is produced. At the same time, a quiz conference made it possible to uncover fake news, an opportunity to find out while having fun.

Getting people to think

The goal was to see the mechanics of fake news, false news disseminated with the aim of manipulating and deceiving the public: what images are chosen, the angles of approach… Often, they appeal to the emotional explained Romain Renaud, speaker at the Nantes Digital Workbench. Our goal with this type of animation is to get people to think and not be fooled. They are advised to check their sources, to see if the organization or information medium really exists, what its usual editorial line is, and its target. Get rid of prejudices

We must get away from prejudices and stereotypes. There are sometimes good tips and interesting information on YouTube, for example. You just have to be vigilant about all the media available and ask yourself the right questions to develop your critical sense. added Julie Brillet, also a speaker at the Nantes Digital Workbench.
