Ultra-light and durable headphones
The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 arrived before the Pro iterations, but already have almost everything in the way of premium earbuds. These in-ear headphones true wireless take the same rounded design of their predecessors and are particularly compact and light (5 g per earphone). Their exterior is covered with a tactile surface in order to access the controls, it is responsive and the features offered are complete. We can only regret that the Galaxy Buds 2 are only IPX2 certified, so they are not best suited for a sports setting.
The case is like the headphones: compact and rounded, making it easy to store in your pants pocket. Its design is easily reminiscent of a ring box, particularly in the way it opens. As for autonomy, Samsung communicates a duration of 5 hours per charge with ANC activated and 15 additional hours thanks to the charging case. As for the earbuds, it took us just 38 minutes to get them to 100% charged. A very good score!
A very correct sound signature and a quality ANC mode for intra
In terms of sound performance, the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 benefit from transducers almost identical to those of the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro with a tweeter dedicated to treble and midrange and a woofer for bass. This two-way configuration allows you to enjoy rich and detailed sound, including very present and deep bass. The highs and mids do not benefit from the same quality since these frequencies are marked by a certain sibilance, but nothing very dramatic for this price range.
If the default sound signature is not suitable, the Galaxy Wearables application provides access to an equalizer with six default profiles and no real possibility of personalizing the sound. Finally, the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 feature an appreciable transparency mode, but above all active noise reduction. The South Korean manufacturer announces a 98% reduction in background noise. In practice, this ANC combined with passive isolation proves very convincing, especially for mid-range headphones.
