The Miyoo A30 is a new retro gaming console equipped with an Allwinner A33 chipset and a 2.8-inch screen. Arriving before devices like the Anbernic RG28XX and MagicX XU Mini M, the Miyoo A30 is available in four colors and two memory configurations.

Miyoo beat Anbernic and MagicX by launching the A30, its version of the 2.8-inch handheld. As noted https://twitter.com/RetroGameCorps/status/1783052205421138002The Miyoo A30 can be ordered from Keep Retro and not from Miyoo. Additionally, the YouTube channel believes the Miyoo A30 might be “a little cheaper” when it hits Miyoo’s website at some point.

It’s not yet clear when Miyoo will start stocking the A30, let alone how many units it will have in stock. Retro Game Corps points out that Keep Retro might be a better option for those who want to purchase a certain color or configuration of memory. As expected, Miyoo presents the A30 in a 127 x 58 x 15mm case and with the following hardware:

  • Allwinner A33 (4x ARM Cortex-A7 CPU cores/ARM Mali-400 MP2 GPU)
  • 2.8 inch IPS screen, 640 x 480 native resolution
  • 512 MB RAM
  • 2,500 mAh battery

At the time of writing, Keep Retro offers the A30 in Red and Gold, Full Black, Black and White, and Gray finishes, with the choice of a 64 or 128 GB MicroSD card. For reference, the retailer sells the first model for $55.99 and the second for $65.99. Please note that Keep Retro estimates that it will start shipping the Miyoo A30s around June 15th. However, this date could be brought forward, likely depending on when Miyoo delivers the units to Keep Retro.
