Juventus also kept a clean sheet for 88 minutes in the home game against Cagliari. Then it was the Romanian European Championship driver Razvan Marin who gave the Bianconeri their first goal of the current season with a penalty. Juventus new signing Douglas Luiz took the penalty and had another bitter afternoon after he had already conceded a penalty against Leipzig on Tuesday.
Juventus were overwhelmingly superior against Cagliari, had 76 percent of ball possession, played 3.18 xG and still had to leave the field with just one point in the end. Goalgetter Dusan Vlahovic converted a hand penalty early on (15th). The Serb then failed to close the bag. This took revenge in the final phase, when first Marin equalized (88th) and then Francisco Conceicao was sent off after a yellow-red dive (89th).
