…but a lot more money to be made

A win during this phase of the championship brings in €2.1 million, while €700,000 will be paid for a draw (€0 for a defeat). This is a little less than before (€2.8 million for a win, €930,000 for a draw), but the clubs have two additional matches. Above all, the new formula will allow them to make up for this shortfall. Thus, the teams ranked from first to eighth place at the end of the first phase will each receive a bonus of €2 million. €1 million will be awarded to each club ranked from ninth to sixteenth.

Finally, the teams that manage to qualify for the knockout phase will receive: €1 million for the play-off match before the round of 16, €11 million for qualifying for the last 16 (compared to €9.6 million last year), €12.5 million for the quarter-finals (€10.6 million), €15 million for the semi-finals (€12.5 million) and €18.5 million for the final (€15.5 million). The winner will receive a bonus of €10.5 million, namely €6.5 million for winning the C1 (€4.5 million last year) and €4 million for securing their ticket to the European Super Cup (+ €1 million if they win it). In short, a club that has achieved completion by winning all its matches during the league phase can receive up to €104.92 million, without counting the additional income linked to the “value” pillar mentioned above, where €853 million is to be shared.
