Ernest Nuamah is still an OL player after the summer transfer window. Last Friday, the Ghanaian winger could have signed with Fulham, which would have allowed Les Gones to recover 19 million euros for a player recruited in the summer of 2023 against 28 million euros at FC Nordsjælland. But the transfer fell through because of the player.

Textor apologized to Nuamah

According to L’Equipe, Ernest Nuamah was very affected by the situation surrounding his future. The player, who is happy in Lyon and intends to buy a house, disappeared before the end of the medical examination. The Fulham medical team had gone to Lyon to carry it out but Nuamah was therefore nowhere to be found when he was due to sign his contract.

John Textor, who was planning to sell the player, finally sent a letter of apology to Ernest Nuamah to explain that he was still at home in Lyon. The 20-year-old dreams of playing in a European competition with OL and had no intention of leaving for the Premier League. Relations between Nuamah and the OL management have reportedly calmed down since this episode.

Absent during the match against Strasbourg on Friday, Ernest Nuamah had participated in the first two matches of the Rhone club at the start of the season, in Ligue 1. Last season, for his debut at OL, he played 39 times, for seven goals and three assists in all competitions.
