The PSG star striker was fined on Saturday June 25 for ignoring an order to stop an unauthorized construction project at his residence near Rio.
Decidedly, real estate bickering accumulates for Neymar. Few months ago, the Parisian revealed that the neighbors of the PSG star striker, in Bougival in the Yvelines, could no longer stand the noisy parties he organized. This weekend, it is in Brazil that one of his residences poses a problem. Neymar was fined there on Saturday June 25 for ignoring the order to stop a construction project carried out without authorization in a residence which belongs to him. The amount of the fine has yet to be determined.
The Brazilian player of PSG was already under the threat of another fine of one million dollars (five million reales) for various “environmental offences” observed in this luxurious residence located in the tourist town of Mangaratiba, 120 kilometers from Rio, where an artificial lake and a beach were being built. Authorities positioned themselves around the property and ordered all activities to stop but, according to local media, Neymar threw a party there anyway and bathed in the lake.
A helipad, a spa and a gymnasium
The municipality of Mangaratiba, near Rio de Janeiro, said environmental inspectors showed up there on Saturday and found “activity in violation of the restraining order” pronounced. Previously, authorities, alerted by complaints posted on social media, discovered “various environmental offences”including the diversion of a watercourse and the unauthorized extraction of water from a river.
They had also noted unauthorized excavations and movement of earth, stones and rocks, as well as the use of beach sand without a permit. Asked, Neymar’s press secretary in Brazil did not respond to AFP. According to Brazilian media, the property that Neymar bought in 2016 includes 10,000 square meters of land, a heliport, a spa and even a gymnasium.
