The Coyotes will play three preseason games on the same day

You don’t have to look very, very far to realize that the situation of the Arizona Coyotes is a disgrace for hockey.

Just the title of this article is (another) good example.

Busy schedule

The Coyotes unveiled their next preseason schedule in a social media post saying their international tour kicks off Sept. 22.

Yes, they are going to play in Australia and they can go crazy with that. But they will also play five games in three days, including three on September 23 alone!

On September 22, they will play against the Los Angeles Kings in Melbourne, Australia.

Then the next day, duel against the Blues in St. Louis, game against the Blues (again!) in Wichita, Kansas and confrontation against the Kings in Australia.

And it’s not over!

The preseason blitz continues September 24 against the Stars in Texas.

@ballecourbe 5 games in 3 nights including 3 the same day? The Coyotes’ preparatory schedule is bullshit. #fyp #Coyotes #Hockey #LNH #NHL #Arizona #Australia #magiefondvert ♬ original sound – BalleCourbe

Already that there are not many players of NHL caliber among the Coyotes, do you think that the people who will pay to attend these games will get their money’s worth?

I’ll tell you the answer right away: no.

But that’s what happens when a team wants to make the most of the revenue generated by sharing ticket sales and the Coyotes try to pick it all up.

Oh and last thing.

Do you really think that the players who will try to get a place with the Coyotes will be well evaluated by the staff in place? How to evaluate the talent of the players when the team is scattered around the world to play three games on the same day?

The NHL is shooting itself in the foot for allowing such nonsense.
