OL Mercato: big names on Tessmann, Turkish forcing for Mikautadze

The transfer window is agitated for OL… But not necessarily for the players from whom Pierre Sage intends to part ways.

While OL is staying the course for the moment by focusing on the departure of its undesirables to get as much cash as possible from the winter transfer window, it is not impossible that – later on the market – the Gones will have to resolve to sell at least one “bankable” item in order to reach the desired €55 million in sales in January.

Good Serie A clubs on Tessmann…

Among the surprising players on whom Lyon could be attacked is American summer recruit Tanner Tessmann (23), who arrived last summer from Venice and who is now Nemanja Matic's understudy in the sentry position. According to Ekrem Konur, three Italian Serie A clubs are considering a paying loan from the captain of the US Olympic Team: Naples, Torino and Fiorentina. Not sure, however, that John Textor will open the door in January for this type of discussion.

…Galatasaray does not let go of Mikautadze

Furthermore, and if we are to believe the TF1 journalist Saber Desfarges, OL refused a second offer from Galatasaray, estimated at €21 million (the first was €17 million excluding bonus), for Georges Mikautadze. If he started on the bench and returned to the right lane yesterday against Montpellier, the Georgian still does not want to leave Les Gones for Turkey and repeated this at a press conference. It would be good for the Istanbul club to hear it at some point…
