The veteran center of the Blue Jackets of Columbus Sean Monahan will miss from six to eight additional weeks of activity related to the right wrist injury which has been causing him away from the game since January 7.
The Jackets hoped for a quick return after the 30 -year -old was injured, but new tests revealed that his healing had not really progressed, according to “The Athletic”. The team’s doctors therefore stretched their rehabilitation period.
At best, Monahan could return to the game around March 7.
The former Montreal Canadian former was injured when he was struck by defender Kristopher Letang in a 4 to 3 victory against the Penguins.
-Hired as an autonomous player last summer, Monahan had a very good first season with the Jackets before injuring themselves. The Ontarian had accumulated 14 goals and 27 aids for 41 points in as many games.
