The attacker of Yoane Wissa (ex-Lorient) sentenced to 18 years in prison

Tried since Tuesday by the Morbihan Assize Court for attempted murder and kidnapping of a minor, Laëtitia Penvern was sentenced to 18 years’ imprisonment this Friday in Vannes. The 36-year-old woman attacked former Lorient player Yoane Wissa on July 1, 2021 at his home, throwing acid in his face after trying to kidnap her child. The striker (28 years old) now at Brentford defended himself, putting the attacker to flight. But he then had to have an eye operation.
