Goals: Laporte (24e), Fracture (30eSP) and the village (59e) for Lorient // Jacquet (12e) and Bassouamina (90e+4) for Clermont
Once, not two for Clermont.
Winners against the Merlus in the first leg, the Clermontois failed to repeat the feat a second time this Saturday evening at the Moustoir (3-1). They certainly believed there, however, since Jérémy Jacquet gave the advantage to the visitors of a Head on Corner (0-1, 12e). But Lorient is inflated with confidence this season, and the reaction was quick to arrive: still on a corner, Julien Laporte shot Massamba N'Diaye and hurt his former club (1-1, 24e).
Two special guests in the stands
Deprived of his captain Laurent Abergel, who spent the evening in the Kop des Merlus Ultras 1995, just like Formosa Mendy, the RCL took the lead on penalty, obtained and transformed by Junior Kroupi (2-1, 30e). The station wagon arrived in the second half, at the end of a flashing against brilliantly concluded by Pablo Pagis (3-1, 59e). In additional time, Mons Bassouamina gave hope to the Clermontois, well placed at the reception of a center (3-2, 90e+4)but it was already too late to come back.
-Lorient thus resumes the first place from Ligue 2 to FC Metz. Clermont is twelfth.
