Villas worth several million euros, houses with gardens and swimming pools in the heart of Paris, ever higher demands from owners who do not hesitate to invest millions of euros in fantastic properties: the show “The Agency” has everything to fascinate.
This real estate program unlike any other features the Kretzes, a family specializing in luxury real estate. The properties displayed are each more impressive than the other, which inevitably sows doubt among Internet users. Is this a real show, or a clever staging?
Internet users’ reviews
On the X platform, viewers of the show have many questions about the show. Particularly since the announcement, in October 2024, of the creation of the “Kretz Club”, which allows, in exchange for a subscription of 2,000 euros per year, to have access to a digital platform for investment in exclusive projects, and this, even to invest only small amounts, from 1,000 euros.
On Instagram, when they presented their project, many commentators expressed their concerns: “I directly received a payment link for €2000 without being contacted before, without presenting me the project, the investments… The idea is good, the launch is clearly a failure,” says an Internet user.
Others do not hesitate to denounce the idea: “It stinks of a scam, a rich people’s club”, “It’s just a way for them to make extra money”.
-Similar criticisms had already been made regarding their hit show. Faced with the exuberance of the sums involved, many people cry it a scam. “It’s windy, but enough people believe in it to fall for it,” we can read among the criticisms of Internet users. “Is it the program that’s bogus, or the Kretz family, or both?”
For some, however, it is the editing that is to be called into question, more than the family of real estate agents: “The Kretz family should put their noses into the editing a little. The more the episodes go by, the more they come across as idiots because of the production.”
Martin Kretz’s response
Recently, the show was the target of a controversy, when Fabrice Luchini claimed to have “played the customer” in front of the cameras. “I played the client even though I had already bought the offices! The job of an actor is great, it allowed me to thank them,” he said in the columns of TV Mag.
Faced with these comments, Martin Kretz, one of the family members, spoke on the program “C L’hebdo” to set the record straight. “Everything we shot is true. It’s just that we didn’t arrive with the cameras in front of Fabrice, who still has an image and wanted to find out, get to know us first. But he bought his offices with us from time to time, he was not available on the day of the visit, we did the filmed revisit with him,” he said.
