This Friday, January 24, from 9:10 p.m., at his home in Quimper, Cédric Loy will be surrounded by friends and family, eyes glued to RMC Story. He will be one of the participants in Bigdil, this TV game which is making a big comeback at the start of 2025, with good audiences. “It doesn't surprise me, people want to relax with this show, it reminds us of a life that was perhaps simpler thirty years ago, with Vincent Lagaf as host who remains a good friend,” summarizes the neo fifty-year-old, aged 23 during his first visit to Bigdil.
A trip to Guadeloupe won in 1998
For nothing in the world, Cédric Loy would not have wanted to miss out on a new participation. When the return of TF1's flagship game show from the 1990s-2000s was announced by RMC Story, he only had one fixed idea. “It's such a great memory that when the casting opened in mid-July, I was eager to go back, and the fact that I had already participated in the game in its first year, in 1998, was a good argument,” says the Quimperois, truck driver at Veolia Environnement.
At the time, when he came into the audience to watch a recording, he was spotted by the team and, 15 days later, found himself on set. “I was one of the first players not to come from the Paris region, and after winning a game of rubber bands against an opponent, I won a trip to Guadeloupe,” remembers Cédric Loy.
The period was then rich in emotions. A month after the show, his daughter was born. For a time, he hoped to be able to participate with her in the new recording, to mark the link between her two television appearances, but the young woman, now 26 years old, preferred to give up.
Lagaf’, “an incredible entertainer”
She accompanied her dad during the filming, on November 25, at the Cité du cinéma in Saint-Denis, like her partner and a Parisian friend. Arriving at 10:30 a.m., the Quimper resident was made up and briefed before a meal with the team, led by Lagaf', “an incredible entertainer, broken everywhere, which prevents him from doing a daily routine.” Then the game was recorded from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. with the final result… Well, we won't know, due to confidentiality clause. Only info: in the game, he will be in control of a forklift…
-“It was another unforgettable moment, and what I remember once again is the atmosphere on the set, with the impression of being in a little family,” describes this fan of TV games, also past by “Attention à la marche” on TF1 in 2005. Before a return planned in 27 years to Bigdil? “If it's playable, I'll still be on the job! »
