On September 25, less than four months ago, I wrote a paper called: Claude Giroux had his car stolen last night. It was his wife who said it on social networks.
And now, today, I could write the same article – except for “last night” because we don’t know that.
Ryanne Giroux announced, as in September, that the family’s car had once again been stolen. And even though she wrote “lol” in her message, you can sense that she doesn’t exactly find it funny.
The car is a rental car. This means that the family was robbed of the “replacement” of the basic car, from what we can understand from the situation.
That’s great.
We know that in the world of sport, there is a wave of burglaries in the homes of athletes. And there, obviously, it also affects cars… but mainly among the Girouxes.
This wave (thefts and burglaries) is so widespread that Patrik Laine’s fiancée even has nightmares about it.
I wonder to what extent Giroux, who is at the end of his contract, will be motivated by the idea of leaving Ottawa at the end of the season with his family in connection with the two flights in a row since September. It’s already hard to attract people to Ottawa…
-I know it can happen anywhere, but maybe it can be part of their thinking, right?
I also wonder to what extent players on the Senators – and other National League teams – take extra measures to avoid having their cars stolen.
After all, an NHL player can afford a nice car…
