The Doyenne of Classics, Liège-Bastogne-Liège, will take place on Sunday April 27, 2025. As was the case for the 2024 edition of the Classiques Ardennaises, the arrival of the “Ladies” cycling race will take place just after the finish of the “Gentlemen” race.
Here is the program:
SATURDAY April 26, 2025: presentation of the runners and Partners Village
1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.: presentation of the women’s and men’s teams on the podium located near the Provincial Palace.
Nearby, there will be the presence of the Partners Village with numerous activities from 12:30 p.m.
Sunday 27 avril 2025
Women
-Presentation of the teams at 12:15 p.m. on Place MC Auliffe in Bastogne.
-Start of the race at 1:30 p.m.
-course of 147.6 km. The competitors will climb the coast of Saint-Roch very early and then go towards Vielsalm. The main course will consist of the sequence of 4 hills Mont le Soie, Wanne, Stockeu and Haute-Levée.
After Francorchamps, there will remain 75 km to cover and 5 difficulties to overcome: Le Rosier, Desnié, La Redoute, Les Forges and finally La Roche Aux Faucons which will be the last climb of the day.
-Arrival at the Quai des Ardennes in Liège, near the Pont de Belle-Île around 5:55 p.m.
Men
-Departure of the Advertising Caravan at 8:50 a.m.
-Presentation of the teams at 8:50 a.m.
-Start of the race at 10:00 a.m. at the Quai des Ardennes.
-252 km course, the runners will head towards Sougné-Remouchamps de la Baraque de Fraiture then Houffalize. The first ascent of the day will be the Côte de Saint-Roch (this hasn’t happened since 2004). It will then be the Rond-point la Doyenne and Bastogne.
The runners will reach La Roche en Ardenne to find the Col De Haussire which was taken the last time in 1995. The race will go up via the Baraque de Fraiture then Vielsalm. As for the women, it will be the sequence of 4 hills: Mont le Soie, Wanne, Stockeu and Haute-Levée. They will then resume the last five climbs: Le Rosier, Desnié, La Redoute, Les Forges and La Roche-aux-Faucons which will be the 11th and last ascent.
-Arrival of the Advertising Caravan around 3:00 p.m.
-Arrival of the race at the Quai des Ardennes in Liège, near the Belle-Île bridge around 4:25 p.m.
