Back in action lives up to its name quite well. After ten years of absence, Cameron Diaz this January marks his first appearance in front of a camera. The actress stars in this nervous comedy alongside Jamie Foxx. The proposal did not benefit from excessive promotion but has a definite advantage in making its mark in the ranking of the most popular productions, it focuses on a genre that spectators are particularly fond of.
Action, a famous cast and a quieter period in the release department, Back in action does not disappoint. According to figures shared by Netflix, the series has already been viewed more than 46.8 million times (or viewing equivalents). In three days, it managed to take first place in the ranking of the most viewed English-language films this week. The title directed by Seth Gordon does not have crazy competition, the step is high with the second and third most viewed films in English.
We can still note that the resounding entry of Back in action had a good effect on the rest of Cameron Diaz’s filmography. Knight and Dayworn by Diaz and Tom Cruise, takes the fourth step of the weekly podium. James Mangold’s footage has been viewed over 5.2 million times in the last few days.
A new film in the historic TOP 10?
The action is on the rise on Netflix, a few days after the thunderous release of Carry-On, Back in action has the potential to join Netflix’s all-time rankings. It achieves a higher launch than that of Don’t Look Upalso released on a Friday and which currently sits in second place in the all-time rankings. According to the figures of Netflix & Chiffresif this success continues, the proposal could dethrone the behemoths of the genre, such as Adam through time to name only him.
This project, released in 2022, was also the last to have reached such a level of popularity from the first days of availability. Netflix can rest assured, the action does not tire its viewers, and it is not To Life worn by Guillaume Canet who will say the opposite.
