Champions League: Monaco obtains a precious success

AS Monaco achieved a valuable 1-0 success against Aston Villa on the 7th day of the Champions League. This allows Adi Hütter’s men to be assured of competing in the play-offs at least.

Two Swiss participated in this victory, namely captain Denis Zakaria (replaced in the 78th) and Breel Embolo. Goalkeeper Philipp Köhn remained on the bench.

Monaco scored in the 8th minute through defender Singo and then held on, helped by some good saves from Radoslaw Majecki. The Pole fully justified the choice of his trainer.

Atalanta is also certain to continue after the league stage. The winner of the Europa League largely beat Sturm Graz (with Grégory Wüthrich) with a score of 5-0.
