Manchester United and Tottenham fall again, Nottingham continues – Premier League – D22

The 22e Premier League day continued this Sunday afternoon and surprise: neither Tottenham nor Manchester United won.

But before we talk about a sick team, let’s talk about sensation. For the reception of Southampton, Nottingham Forest indeed wandered around the City Ground (3-2)to consolidate its third place and catch up with Arsenal, second. Elliott Anderson started the hostilities by hitting the ground at the edge of the area (11e), followed by Calum Hudson-Odoi, in the same position but after having done the work of recovering the ball himself (28e). Frustrated, Chris Wood finally had the right to his pawn shortly before the break. Guess what? It was a header, from a cross that was quite difficult to recover from Ola Aina (42e). Small alert all the same with the reduction of Jan Bednarek, whose involuntary deflection of Lesley Ugochokwu’s shot deceived Matz Sels (60e), followed by the giant Paul Onuachu (90e+1) when falling on a corner.

Now for the Spurs. Traveling to Liverpool to challenge Everton at Goodison Park, Ange Postecoglou’s men slipped again (3-1). A defeat to which poor Archie Gray is no stranger. On the first goal, the young Tottenham defender was indeed swept away by Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s inter-exter hook, at ease to finish in front of the cage (13th). On the second achievement of the blues, Gray this time went too far from his zone, allowing Iliman Ndiaye to go behind his back, eliminate Radu Drăgușin and light the nets (30e). Finally, in added time of the first act, Gray scored against his side, deflecting Drăgușin’s clearance without being able to do much about it (45e+7). We will highlight the beautiful lob of Dejan Kulusevski at the end of the game (77e). Nothing more.

MU fell back into its mistakes from the start, the fault of Noussair Mazraoui, caught in the depth by the call of Kaoru Mitoma, who only had to serve Yakuba Minteh alone in front of the empty goal (5e). But one mistake followed another, Yasin Ayari’s loss of ball in front of his area allowed Joshua Zirkzee to slip away alone, before finally being caught by Carlos Baleba. Penalty and transformation signed Bruno Fernandes (23e). The half-time, however, only did the Seagulls good, since at the hour mark, Minteh’s long ball to the far post found Mitoma, again forgotten by Mazaraoui, to narrowly regain the lead (60e). But in a Manchester United defeat, there is always a blunder. And this time, it’s André Onana’s turn. On an innocuous pass from Mitoma, the Cameroonian completely missed his catch, allowing Georginio Rutter to recover the leather and push it (76e). The Mancunians remain thirteenth.
