Eight years after his first inauguration, Donald Trump will once again become President of the United States on Monday, January 20, in Washington, in front of an audience of politicians and businessmen, as well as other personalities. But in addition to these VIPs such as Elon Musk, Barack Obama, Jeff Bezos and Éric Zemmour, singers and music groups will be present during the festivities.

“The Trump Vance Inauguration Committee is proud to announce that some of our country’s most iconic musicians will participate in the inaugural celebrations,” said Steve Witkoff and Kelly Loeffler, the two chairs of the Inauguration Committee. “This monumental weekend will commemorate President Trump’s historic victory and the 60th presidential inauguration with a celebration of music, unity and patriotism, ushering in America’s new golden age,” the release said.

A host of renowned artists, mainly known in the United States, will perform in Washington during the various events linked to this presidential inauguration which will take place over two days, Sunday January 19 and Monday January 20.

A very country program

The most famous group, at least internationally, to perform during the festivities is the Village Peopleknown worldwide for their hit “YMCA”, a song that has become an essential part of Donald Trump’s rallies. The iconic late 1970s band will perform at the “Make America Great Again” event at the Capital One Arena in downtown Washington on Sunday.

In this same room on Sunday, will also perform Kid Rockknown for his varied music that mixes rap, rock, country, and Billy Ray Cyrusthe father of Miley Cyrus, country singer. The popular US country singer Lee Greenwood will also be there, the man to whom we owe “ God Bless the USA”, the Republican anthem played in meetings and rallies for several years.

L’incontournable Carrie Underwood

Monday’s nomination ceremony will feature another essential US country artist, Carrie Underwood. The artist with 85 million records sold and eight Grammys will sing “America the Beautiful” in the Capitol itself. “I love our country and am honored to have been invited to sing at the inauguration and to be a part of this historic event,” Underwood said in a statement Monday.

The opera tenor Christopher Maccio will perform the national anthem and Lee Greenwood his famous “God Bless the USA”, also from the Capitol on Monday afternoon.

On Jason’s sidenominated five times for the Grammy Awards and author of the song “Try That in a Small Town”, will perform Monday evening at the Liberty Ball, alongside the Village People, who will return to the stage after their performance on Sunday, as well as than a “surprise musical guest”. The country group Rascal Flatts will be at Monday night’s Commander-in-Chief Ball with Texan singer-songwriter Parker McCollum.

The singer-songwriter Gavin DeGrawbest known for the song “I Don’t Want to Be”, used as the theme song for the television series “The Scott Brothers”, will perform at the Starlight Ball, the other ball at which Donald Trump is also expected be present, as tradition dictates.
