Inaugurated in the presence of the governor of the province of Es-Semara, Brahim Boutoumilate and elected officials, this new local structure which is located in the urban center “Rbeib”, mobilized a budget envelope estimated at 10.6 million dirhams (MDH ).
Spread over a total area of 19,420 m², this socio-sports complex is part of a multi-party agreement between the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, (Youth Department), the Agency for the promotion and economic and social development of the southern provinces of the Kingdom, the provincial human development committee, and the provincial and municipal councils of Es-Semara.
On this occasion, Mr. Boutoumilate toured the various outbuildings of this new infrastructure, with the mission of promoting the integration of young people on the social, cultural and sporting levels.
This local socio-sporting structure includes a multi-sport field (handball, basketball, volleyball), a synthetic field, a tennis court, a swimming pool, and a sports hall.
It is also a space for young people equipped with computer equipment, a multidisciplinary room, an electronic games room, a music room, and another drawing room, in addition to changing rooms, administrative outbuildings, sanitary blocks , and green spaces.
In a speech for the occasion, the regional director of the Youth Department in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra, Mohamed Boulssane, underlined that this complex was created according to a concept aimed at converging sport with other artistic activities, offering young people the opportunity to reveal their talent and creativity.
The creation of this local infrastructure, he continued, is part of the Youth Department’s strategy aimed at promoting the development of young people and developing their sporting and artistic skills.
Note that the various activities of this socio-sporting complex will be supervised by the executives of the clubs and associations registered as part of a national program for the animation of youth establishments.
