During the long executive committee which was held this Thursday morning, Frédéric Thiriez, the former boss of the Professional League (LFP), was appointed president of the National Ethics Council (CNE). He replaces Patrick Anton, lawyer like Thiriez, and former arbitrator.

Recently, Thiriez was chosen by Philippe Diallo, the president of the FFF, to lead a one-off mission in the overseas territories. He now has a permanent mission, which he welcomes. “I am very proud to be entrusted with this responsibility, he explains. Philippe Diallo offered it to me, it’s a mark of trust and I accepted with pleasure. For me, this is a return to my roots because I remember having contributed to the creation of this body dedicated to ethics.”
