The 23-year-old Swede wanted to thank CH supporters for the numerous messages of support in a story published on his Instagram account.
“I will come back stronger,” he also wrote.
Heineman will be absent for a period of three to four weeks after being struck by a vehicle while he was a pedestrian. He reportedly suffered an upper body injury.
According to local journalist Ryan Miller of KSL News, the driver who hit the Habs player is a city employee. He would have crossed several lanes while turning right before colliding with the CH player.
Heineman was having an excellent campaign for the CH before being victim of this accident with a harvest of 10 goals and 17 points in 41 games.
