Sergio Pérez’s father has affirmed that his son will not abandon Formula 1 and that a “historic” return could be possible! Nothing less…
The Mexican politician speaks 24 hours after his son made his first public statements since his ouster from Red Bull (read here).
And while “Checo” affirms that he will make his decision for the rest of his career in the next six months, his father once again makes somewhat embarrassing, not to say caricatured, statements…
“The best version of Checo Pérez is yet to come, everyone will be very happy and very proud,” Perez Sr. told SoyMotor.
“This is what Checo Pérez is doing, what will happen will be historic, I assure you.”
“It will be wonderful, he is the most famous Latin American in the world today, above footballers and media personalities.”
“Big things are coming for the Pérez family, the only thing I can tell you is that the Pérez family has not given up on Formula 1.”
“We have to thank Red Bull a lot. Checo Pérez’s best years in his sporting career were at Red Bull. This should not be taken as a rivalry, this is the world of motorsport.”
“We need to understand something about this to make it clear, Formula 1 only has 20 seats, there are more than 7 billion of us. Everyone is looking for a seat in F1.”
