Negotiations continue between Wydad Casablanca and AS FAR for the recruitment of Mehdi Benabid during the next winter transfer window.

According to a source from Le Site info, the WAC has put in place a plan B in the event of failure of negotiations with the military club, specifying that Alae Bellaârouch, the goalkeeper of the Olympic selection who plays in the ranks of , is in the sights of the Red and White. “Now the WAC is more interested in Benabid’s services and is going out of their way to enlist him during the next transfer window. The club believes that AS FAR will eventually let go of the goalkeeper given that it has Ayoub El Khayati and Hamza Hamyani at its disposal,” we assure.

Remember that a WAC leader indicated that the negotiations are going well, specifying Mehdi Benabid has given the green light to join the Rouge et Blanc. The agreement could include, we learn, the transfer of a player from Wydad to AS FAR, in addition to a sum of money. Other positions will also be reinforced at the request of South African coach Rulani Mokwena, our source specifies.

Wydad is looking for a goalkeeper following the decline in the level of its goalkeeper Youssef El Moutie. This situation pushed the coach to replace him, during the last match against MAT, with young goalkeeper Omar Agzdaou.

Furthermore, goalkeepers Abdelali El Mohammadi and Aboubakar Bah are preparing to end their adventure at Wydad during the next transfer window.
