The IOC Session and Executive Board meetings will take place in the House of Eventslocated in the Romanos Resort in Costa Navarino in the Peloponnese region of Greece.

The Romanos Resort is connected to the Westin Resort where the 144 media center will be locatede IOC session. Together, the Romanos Resort and the Westin Resort constitute the Costa Navarino tourist complex.

The opening ceremony of the 144e IOC session will take place in the Greek city of Olympia, about a hundred kilometers away.

Here you will find a more detailed information document, containing additional information on accreditation, visas, accommodation, local transport, media facilities, Main Media Centre, audio-visual coverage, broadcasting facilities distribution as well as the main contacts.

Media representatives wishing to provide coverage of IOC meetings are invited to complete the accreditation request form via the IOC website, by January 20, 2025. Accreditation requests will then be examined and the media will be informed of the decisions taken on January 31 2025 at the latest.

Media are encouraged to submit their request as soon as possible. All questions regarding the accreditation application process should be directed to the IOC Media Relations team at the following address: [email protected].

As Greece is a member of the European Union, media from all European Union and associated countries can enter Greece without a visa to work.

The link below is to the Greek government’s official list of countries whose nationals require a visa to enter and work in Greece; Countries requiring or not requiring a Visa – Visas for Foreigners traveling to Greece

Media requiring a letter of invitation to apply for a valid visa to enter and work in Greece must indicate this in their event accreditation application. Media that obtain accreditation will then receive a letter of invitation to apply for a valid visa allowing them to enter and work in Greece.

Accommodation options in the Costa Navarino region are limited as many hotels are closed in March, the low tourist season. Media are therefore advised to book their accommodation as early as possible.

AFEA Congress, local partner of the IOC, has reserved a number of rooms in the media hotels. Media can directly book their accommodation until January 30, 2025 in one of these establishments by clicking here. Failing to obtain the requested accreditation for whatever reason, the media may, until January 31 at the latest, cancel the reserved room(s) free of charge.

Media can also find their own accommodation in nearby hotels or by renting accommodation on site. Kalamata, located 53 km and an hour’s drive from Costa Navarino, is the closest town that offers a wider range of accommodation options.

The main arrival airport for media will be Athens International Airport, which is 300 km from the Costa Navarino tourist complex, or between 3.5 and 4 hours’ drive. Media will need to arrange their own transfer to and from Athens Airport.

From March 17 to 21, a media shuttle will stop at select media hotels (the specific hotels at which this shuttle will stop are still to be confirmed). More information regarding this service will be communicated closer to the event.

A limited number of parking spaces will be available at the Costa Navarino Resort for media traveling by car, so it is advisable to carpool whenever possible. Media can request a parking pass through the IOC online registration system.

The media shuttle arrival and departure point and media parking lot will be located next to the Westin Resort reception within the Costa Navarino resort. Upon arrival at the Westin Resort reception, media representatives can walk to the media center along the path (five minutes downhill walk) or use one of the golf carts provided.
