Good news from the Canadian.

Patrik Laine, on the sidelines of the club’s training this morning, was seen on the ice rink at the Brossard Training Complex. So it’s better than yesterday, when he was skating solo, before the others.

Colleague Marc-Olivier Cook reported the whole thing – without forgetting to mention to us, obviously, that he had changed color type. It’s a detail very important in history.

We already knew he had a good chance of playing tomorrow, but it seems like seeing him with the others, before training starts, is a very good sign for the future.

We’ll see in due course, but I expect to see him replace Michael Pezzetta tomorrow in Washington.

Note also that Lane Hutson, true to form, appeared on the ice before the others. Several guys jumped on the ice before 11 a.m., but he was the first of the group.

That’s interesting to note.

We also had to watch David Savard, who missed his team’s last matches with an injury. And a few minutes before practice officially started, he was spotted on the ice.

He had his full equipment.

That doesn’t mean he’ll play tomorrow – but unlike Laine, he was taking regular rotations. If he can’t play, it’s unclear who the six guys will be able to face the Capitals on a short one-game trip.

CH will leave for Washington later and it is important to note that no Rocket defender was at CH training this morning.
