The Spanish midfielder will nevertheless be at the end of his contract in June 2026 and he has set conditions to extend his lease in Catalonia.
Gavi and Barça, PSG used
According to information from Don BalonBarça's idea is to offer a new contract to Gavi until 2030. The Catalan player's desire is clearly to stay in his training club but he wants a clear salary increase. Especially since PSG made him a very good offer, higher than the salary he receives at Barcelona, namely 6.8 million euros per year. Barça therefore knows what remains to be done to complete Gavi's contract extension. Which also confirms the fact that the Spanish international is indeed in Luis Enrique's good books in case he fails to reach an agreement with his club. Note that in addition to Gavi, Barça will try to complete the contract extension of Lamine Yamal. Common point with his teammate: Paris Saint-Germain is also in the mix, even if the club in the French capital is mainly used by the two Barcelonans to renegotiate their salaries upwards. At least for now.
