Genk coach Thorsten Fink reveals: ‘I recently received a few offers…’ – All football

Racing Genk is leader of the championship and therefore sees several players placed on the lists of biggest European clubs. The trainer, Thorsten Fink, is also being courted.

Racing Genk are at the top of the Jupiler Pro League and hope to stay there after the Play-Offs. The Limburgers will certainly fight for the title, but for that, they will have to succeed in their winter transfer window.

In recent years, it has happened several times that a pillar left Genk during the winter while the residents of the Cegeka Arena were in the fight for the title. This should not happen this season, despite, in particular, the growing interest in Tolu Arokodare, tracked by a Champions League club.

The leader logically sees his players courted, which is also the case… of T1, Thorsten Fink. “Indeed, my agent received a few offers, but I didn’t even look at them. I feel good at Genk,” he said at a press conference.

“This is my eleventh club and I have rarely felt so good. Because everything is in place at Genk: from the organization to the training of young people through the infrastructure. The work is intense, our CEO took advantage of the course to talk for a whole day with everyone to find out what could still be improved.”

“This is the way it should be. In any case, we want to achieve our goal together at the end of the season: qualification for Europe,” Fink concludes. Genk begins the year on Tuesday with a visit to its great rival Trudonnaire, Stayen, in the quarter-final of the Croky Cup.
