Patrik Laine is a character like no other. With all the seriousness in the world, he tried to make our descriptor Félix Séguin believe that he was selecting his flamboyant clothes at random.
“I take the first things I see in my wardrobe,” he explained to the voice of the Canadians on TVA Sports in the last episode of the podcast In the cat’s eye. It doesn’t matter the color. It could be a yellow sweater and green pants. I’ll put what I see first.”
Really? Such a method would undoubtedly cause style violations, but Laine’s clothes are always perfectly arranged.
Digging a little deeper, we finally figured out who the mastermind was behind Laine’s extravagant style.
“My fiancée [Jordan Leigh] has a very strong opinion regarding my style, confided the main person concerned. She’s my personal stylist.”
The Finn has a self-confessed penchant for bright colors and anything out of the ordinary.
“What I like most is probably everything that is colorful and different,” he said. I don’t have a lot of, let’s say, ordinary clothes.”
