Zeno Debast, the 21-year-old Belgian defender playing for Sporting CP, is at the center of all attention. After his impressive performances in the Champions League and his starting place with the Red Devils, FC Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid are said to be interested in this talented defender. A transfer to a big club seems closer and closer.
Debast left RSC Anderlecht last summer to join Sporting CP for 15 million euros. In Portugal, the young Belgian adapted quickly and made his mark, notably thanks to a spectacular goal in the Champions League.
According to journalist Ekrem Konur, major Spanish clubs put Debast at the top of their wish list. With a contract running until 2029 and an estimated market value of 24 million euros, Sporting will, however, demand a significant sum to let the versatile defender leave. It is still unknown whether a transfer could take place this winter, but this interest underlines the immense potential of the Belgian player.
