Yannick Bestaven resumes the Vendée Globe while being out of the race

While sailing in 11th position in the solo round-the-world trip without stopovers or assistance, Bestaven made the decision, on December 30, to stop in Ushuaia due to multiple damages on board, which were impossible to repair alone. Joined by part of his technical team, he spent six days restoring damage to his hull, keel, steering system, sail and foil.
