AC Milan would consider positioning themselves to try to recruit Marcus Rashford. The Manchester United striker recently admitted to considering leaving his training club during the 2025 winter transfer window.
Marcus Rashford loaned with option to buy?
And now AC Milan. A new club has set out to recruit Marcus Rashford. Even if the operation promises to be complicated given the Manchester United player’s emoluments, the Lombard club will try its luck. Ideally, United want to sell him for £40million and that figure, plus his £325,000-plus-a-week salary, is the main obstacle. But to facilitate his departure, the Premier League club would agree to let him go in the form of a loan with a compulsory purchase option according to the Daily Mail.
Marcus Rashford turned down two Saudi offers
Recently, Saudi Pro League clubs have come forward to try to recruit Marcus Rashford. But the England international refused two offers from Saudi clubs. He believes that his future remains in Europe and wants to play regularly again to win back a place in the England team for the next international competitions, World Cup and Euro. His preferred destination was Spain, but that option was not expected to materialize until the summer and would depend on his performance in the second half of the season.
Marcus Rashford too expensive for AC Milan?
In the meantime, AC Milan wants to take advantage of the uncertainty to recover Marcus Rashford. Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been tasked with solving Milan’s problems in attack and Rashford is one of the names that has been mooted. Rashford played alongside Milan boss Ibrahimovic (left) at Old Trafford in 2016 and 2018. Napoli have previously sounded out the club but the financial implications of such a move are considered too ‘exaggerated’ by club insiders. Premier League sides are also considering offers, but they are believed to be far lower than United want. There are still three weeks left to find a solution.
