The Kenyan runner Jonathan Korir won, today Sunday morning January 5, 2025, the Tamesna international half-marathon with a time of 1 hour 01 minute 30 seconds, followed by the Moroccans Hicham Ouladha, with a time of 1 hour 33 seconds, and Ahmed Hassouni, with a time of 1 hour 02 minutes 03 seconds.
In the same race, Moroccan Kawthar Farkoussi won the title of the seventh edition of the Tamesna International Half Marathon, with a time of 1 hour 10 minutes 24 seconds, followed by her compatriot Rahma Tahiri, with a time of 1 hour 12 minutes 12 seconds, then Kenyan Sharon Giron, with a time of 1 hour 13 minutes 20 seconds.
In the 10 km competition, Moroccan runner Mustapha Ouchito won with a time of 29 minutes and 05 seconds, followed by his compatriot Jamal Haytran, with a time of 28 minutes and 09 seconds, then Mohamed Taghzant, with a time of 29 minutes and 31 seconds, in the seventh edition of the Tamsna International Half Marathon.
Among the ladies, the Moroccan Kalthoum Bouassria won the 10 km race with a time of 32 minutes and 50 seconds, followed by the French Alexandra Yougline with a time of 35 minutes and 52 seconds, and Ines Vatin with a time of 39 minutes and 50 seconds. 26 seconds.
Aziz Nahkami, director of the marathon, revealed that the Tamesna International Half Marathon received this year an accreditation certificate from the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), which constitutes recognition and appreciation of the ‘International body for the Tamesna half-marathon, which meets the specifications of tolerances required in these races.
He added that the current edition saw record participation from many Moroccan and foreign runners. Kenyan runner Korir is the winner of the seventh edition.
The manager explained that the ambition of the organizing committee was to reach a record number of participants, all categories combined, in this sporting event, which is taking place in the Tamesna region in its seventh edition.
