Dieumerci Ndongala had not traveled since leaving Racing Genk in August 2020 for APOEL Nicosia, one of the best clubs in the Cypriot championship.
Where he was able to play in the Conference League as well as the preliminary rounds of the Europa League and the Champions League, the former Charleroi and Standard player, among others, stayed for four and a half years, and notably saw the arrival Ricardo Sa Pinto, with whom he was champion.
But since the departure of the Portuguese coach, times have been tougher and the Congolese had to find a place on the bench. A situation which, with the end of the contract approaching, was not ideal.
Dieumerci Ndongala will play the promotion to the Turkish second division
At the start of January, while the winter transfer window has barely started, Dieumerci Ndongala quickly found a new challenge.
The information is official, the 33-year-old right winger joins Turkey and Bandirmaspor, currently second in the second division and well on the way to promotion. Ndongala signed a contract for one and a half years, until June 2026. With the objective of returning to a Super Lig that he had experienced when he was loaned to Kasimpasa by Racing Genk, between January and June 2020 .
