The Canadian was in action, but so was his school club.
In front of three leaders, the Rocket faced the Canucks and wanted to end a two-game losing streak.
This was Cayden Primeau’s first game in Laval this season and he did well. Performance of 26 saves on 27 shots.
It was after 19 shots that the American allowed his first goal.
He didn’t look good, let’s face it.
The rest of the match, he was smoking, stopping breakaways, two-on-ones and several good chances from the opponents.
I’m happy with this match and I hope he is too. He needs to regain his confidence.
Laval finally won it in overtime thanks to Laurent Dauphin’s goal.
Pascal Vincent’s squad will return to action tomorrow when they face these same Canucks. Primeau could be back in net; Vincent didn’t close the door on a two-two punch.
Don’t expect to see so many leaders in Laval: there are CMJ matches on show.
