The Argentina team confirmed this Friday that it will host England and Uruguay in a series of test matches next July, which will mark the return of the XV de la Rose to southern soil -American for the first time in seven years. The Pumas will begin the year with an international match against the British and Irish Lions in Dublin on June 20.

They will then host a two-match series against England, which will be without players taking part in the British and Irish tour of Australia. The first match will take place on July 5 in La Plata, followed by a second meeting in San Juan seven days later. These matches will take place after the 2023 Rugby World Cup in , where Argentina were beaten 10-27 by England in the group stage and narrowly lost 23-26 in the small final.

England’s last tour of Argentina was in 2017, with matches in San Juan and Santa Fe. Argentina’s July matches culminate in a clash against Uruguay on July 19, with the venue still to be confirmed . The Pumas last faced Uruguay in an official match at Maldonado last year, winning 79-5.
