The 12,000 tickets for FC Espaly – PSG, the round of 16 match of the French Football Cup scheduled for January 15, were sold in less than an hour on Friday, December 27, France Bleu Pays d’Auvergne and the Sports department of Radio France with ASM Clermont Auvergne and FC Espaly.
The meeting between FC Espaly (National 3 club, 5th division) and Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1) will take place at the Marcel-Michelin stadium, which usually hosts ASM Clermont Auvergne rugby matches. “We play in a legendary rugby stadium which sees the Top 14 and the European Cup”, rejoiced Christian Perbet, president of FC Espaly, to Radio France.
Concerning the sale of 12,000 places in barely an hour, it is “at the height of the event for Auvergne”estimated Christian Perbet. “The players alone bought 500 seats”says their president. “It’s especially a pleasure to please those close to you, to play in a full stadium against the team which has been first in the French championship for several years.”
