The game is on. Season 2 of Squid Game was unveiled by Netflix this Thursday, December 26 and should easily beat its own record for the best historical start for a series on the platform. More than three years ago, the first season gave birth to a real phenomenon with, in just one month, 142 million viewers and 1.65 billion hours of viewing around the world.
Squid Game : the fundamentals revisited for season 2
At the start of the second season, the hero Seong Gi-hun who survived and won 45.6 billion won (the South Korean currency, editor’s note) decides to devote all of his time to tracking down the creators of the game which gives leads to a mass killing every year. Determined, he even decides to risk his life by participating in the deadly competition again, but with a very specific plan to prevent the games from taking place. But unfortunately, nothing is going to happen as planned… Thanks to a clever scenario, the elements that made the success of Squid Game are all present but constantly embellished with twists and surprises, allowing the viewer not to have a feeling of “déjà vu”.

When will season 3 of Squid Game sur Netflix ?
After three years and three months of waiting, Netflix subscribers only have seven episodes to get their teeth into for the end-of-year holidays.
